Cyber threats continue to evolve, and phishing remains one of the most effective social engineering tactics used by attackers. To better understand and mitigate this threat, I conducted a phishing attack simulation designed to assess user awareness and response to deceptive emails.

As part of my journey to become a SOC Analyst, I explored KC7 to understand how SOC-as-a-Service supports internal security teams through real-time threat detection and response. The platform’s integration with tools like EDR and SIEM reinforced concepts I’ve learned about reducing alert fatigue and streamlining incident response. I also gained hands-on experience writing KQL (Kusto Query Language) queries, which helped me better understand how analysts extract threat data from logs.
